Mr. Samuel Harris

Mr. Samuel Harris of Tazewell Street, Portsmouth departed this earthly life on Aug. 1, 2011.

He was a native of Suffolk. He was employed with VDOT for over 25 years. He attended Southampton Public Schools. He was predeceased by his parents, Elbert and Eldred Harris.

His survivors includes, One son , Samuel Harris,Jr. ,one granddaughter, Delanic Harris of Suffolk, Two Sisters, Evelyn Everette (Johnnie) of Alexandria,Va , Queen Ratcliff of Suffolk .Four brothers, Elbert Harris,Jr. (Rosa) of Portsmouth, Charles Harris(Pastor Virginia Harris) ,and Ophus Harris of Suffolk, Elroy Harris (Rose)  of Richmond.  

Four Aunts,Isabell Williams and Ruby Johnson of Jamaica, New York, Odessa Harris and Ruth Johnson of Suffolk, A dedicated Aunt and cousin Lisa Harris

A Funeral of Triumph will be held on Saturday , August 6,2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the New Paul Temple Hosier Road, by Officiates , Pastor Catherine  Skinner and Pastor Virginia L. Harris . Visitation will be on Friday from  12 noon to 6 p.m. on Friday  at the Funeral Home and on Saturday from 11:30 until service time on Saturday at the Church. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
