Mrs. Doris Genolar Camen Lynch affectionately known as “Sister,” 81, of Suffolk, Virginia, departed this earthly life on December 13, 2013 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Nansemond County, Suffolk, Virginia. Doris is predeceased by her mother, Kate N. Camen, her father, Herbert Camen, and her brother, Edward Camen. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Lorther Lynch, Norfolk, VA. Two sons, Ennis Carlton Rawlings, Suffolk, VA and Michael L. Powell, Suffolk, VA. Three daughters, Edwina Rawlings, Chesapeake, VA, Brenda K. Rawlings Wright, Richmond, VA and Arlene Rawlings Mothershed, Suffolk, VA. Ten Grandchildren, Christopher C. Rawlings (Roslyn), Norfolk, VA, Anquinette F. Harville (Ray), Baltimore, MD, Keifus L. Rawlings, Charlotte, NC, Ascari J. Rawlings, Japan, Bernard M. Wright, Jr. (Denise) , Bowie, MD, Angela Y. Wright, Charlotte, NC, Ebony C. Lewis, Newport News, VA, Erin D. Rawlings, Suffolk, VA, DiVanta Jones, Suffolk, VA and Mekel L. Powell, Suffolk, VA. Ten Great Grand Children. One sister in law, Letha Camen, Roosevelt, NY. One niece, two nephews, cousins, and other family and friends. Doris was a member of the Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a Missionary, Deaconess and a former Trustee and former president of the Food Bank Ministry. She was long term member and treasurer of the Saratoga Philadelphia Civic League. The home going service will be held at Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church, 635 Brook Avenue, Suffolk, VA on December 20, 2013 at 12 noon with Dr. John E. Jones officiating. She will laid to rest at the Mazell Family Cemetery on Jackson Road, Suffolk, Virginia. A wake will take place on December 19, 2013 from 6pm to 7pm at Harris Funeral Home, 685 Carolina Road, Suffolk, Virginia. Funeral arrangement are being handled by Harris Funeral Home.
